Using the game

Guess The Movie is provided free of charge for personal entertainment. You may play it, share room links and talk about it anywhere you like. You may not resell access, scrape the title library in bulk, or use automated tools to play or to generate scores.

Display names

Choose a name you are happy for other players to see. Names that are hateful, harassing, obscene, or that impersonate another person or brand may be removed without notice, along with any associated leaderboard entries.

Rooms and leaderboards

Anyone with a room code or invite link can join that room, so treat room links as public. Scores posted to the all-time leaderboard are public. We may remove entries that appear to be manipulated.

Intellectual property

Film titles, release years and credits are factual information used for identification and trivia. All trademarks and copyrights in the films referenced belong to their respective owners. This game is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any studio or production company.

The game's own design, artwork, code and written content remain our property and may not be copied without permission.

Advertising

The game shows third-party advertising. We do not control the content of those adverts and are not responsible for the products or services they promote.

Availability and liability

The game is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, that every title or hint is free of error, or that scores and rooms will persist indefinitely. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the game.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the game evolves. Continuing to play after an update means you accept the revised terms.
